Social media triumph: Woodhouse listed in the #Ecobuild100

Looking back over spring’s achievements we came across this little gem. We would like to congratulate Woodhouse on being listed in Ecobuild’s 2014 Top 100!

Ecobuild is the world’s largest conference and exhibition for sustainability in design, construction and the built environment. The Ecobuild Top 100 is a ‘comprehensive list of the most useful and insightful’ sustainability-orientated construction, design and built environment Twitter accounts.

Twitter users were invited to nominate accounts for consideration over a 3-week period in February; nominations of bloggers, and figures in other media, were also considered. When the list was announced, Woodhouse were delighted to find themselves ranked 30th, in the company of such sustainability celebrities as The Carbon Trust, and Inhabitat.

We were especially pleased to hear of Woodhouse’s listing, because over the last 18 months mark-making* has been lending the team a helping hand with Twitter and their other social media accounts. Turning outwards their strong internal culture of collaboration and innovation, Woodhouse have established themselves as thought leaders within the industry. We helped them to capitalise on this positioning by sharing their unique, insightful content at strategic times, on different channels, to gain the most from their potential reach.

Twitter was just starting to become a popular medium of discussion for architects when Woodhouse began to tweet. Now, they have been recognised for their contribution to the online conversation about sustainability, which is a fantastic achievement.
