Warwick castle has a bloody past and during the English Civil war it was the scene of fierce battles between Cavaliers and Roundheads. But in December the drawbridge was raised to welcome the mark-making* team for merry making at our Christmas party.

Much fun was had by all, including the self-styled Sir Drinkalot. There were no battles for control of the castle but we had reports of arm wrestling and even an attack with a bamboo plant…

We’re delighted to report that most of the team retired to bed around 4.30am. Next morning there were no Roundheads in sight. But maybe just a few sore heads.
