F.Hinds brochure makes the ECMOD Awards shortlist
Our fairytale inspired F.Hinds Christmas 2012 brochure has been shortlisted for an ECMOD Award in the Best Catalogue Creative & Production category. The awards ceremony is coming up on the 18th April at Stamford Bridge and will be hosted by the Sky TV presenter Dermot Murnaghan.
The Christmas brochure (the full details of which you can see on our Behance page) breathed new life into the traditionally A4 sized store brochure by reducing the size to a new handbag friendly format. This gave the brochure a very different feel and with the flip cover, it could be used to represent both jewellery and watches on the stands outside of stores.
The brochure has received fantastic feedback from staff and customers, with one store even creating an in-store mural out of paper that was inspired by the fairytale creative. The results also speak for themselves, as over the previous year:
- Turnover from brochure items up by 7.4%
- The average selling price was up by 7.3%
- Turnover per item was up by 16.3%
About the ECMOD Awards
The ECMOD Awards recognize,
“business excellence for organisations engaged in direct-to-customer retailing across traditional and newly emerging channels. With categories designed for those targeting sales to businesses as well as for those selling to consumers, these unique Awards also seek to celebrate the achievements of businesses of all scales and at all stages of development.”
The criterion for making the shortlist was for a single catalogue to achieve perfect brand communication through a combination of,
“excellent photography, design layout, paper quality, stand-out and presentation in the mail.”
