What do you wish you could be doing on one of the hottest days of the year? How about cycling 300ish kilometres from Croyde Bay to Land’s End in a day? That’s the incredible journey Ali and his team of three undertook in temperatures reaching 28ºC and beyond to raise cash for the charity Winston’s Wish.

The group have been completing such mega-rides annually for three years in a row, and have been helping a variety of excellent causes in the process; last year it was Oxwich Bay to Croyde Bay in relentless showers for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charities, and the year before saw them cycle the length of Wales.

Winston’s Wish is a childhood bereavement charity that offers support and guidance to anyone concerned about a grieving child. It is an excellent cause and the money donated through the team’s JustGiving page (which is still live so it’s not too late to help) was motivation enough to carry them through this arduous slog in a ridiculously  hilly environment.
